Reps. Rush Holt (D-NJ), Brian Bilbray (R-CA), and Jackie Speier (D-CA) co-chairs of the Congressional Biomedical Research Caucus are proud to announce the 2011 Caucus Presentation schedule. The Howard Hughes Medical Institute provides a generous grant allowing for the ongoing monthly briefing series that is now in its 21st year.
The Congressional Biomedical Research Caucus (CBRC) is a bipartisan caucus, which serves to inform and educate Members of Congress about science research and health issues. The Congressional Biomedical Research Caucus provides a forum where Members and staff can interact directly with preeminent researchers responsible for important scientific discoveries. Many of the stunning advances, made possible by NIH funding, highlighted in these presentations have led to improved understanding of the cause, treatment, and prevention of human disease.
These events offer members and their staff an excellent opportunity to interact with the scientific leaders in biomedical research. You can find the complete list of 2011 Caucus Presentations here.
